Wolt came to Poland from Scandinavia and you can tell: a polished app, clear rates and customers who order from the better restaurants. The biggest difference from the competition, though, is how the work is organised — you do not book slots. You log in when you feel like riding and take the tasks that suit you.
No slots, but one condition
There is no slot calendar at Wolt — that is the main reason couriers pick this app. Instead of planning your week in advance, you simply turn the app on when you have time. Every task comes with the route and the amount shown, so you decide with your eyes open rather than blind.
There is another side to that freedom. The app shows your acceptance rate — how many of the offers you take. Wolt does not publish any official threshold, but from what couriers see in practice it is better to keep it above 60%, and you are safer closer to 80%: accounts have been blocked where the rate was very low and tasks were dropped often. Turning an offer down costs nothing in itself and carries no consequences — the task simply goes to another courier.
Dropping a task you have already accepted is a separate matter. You have a limited number of those per month and you report them through support. If the restaurant is running late, your report is only accepted after ten minutes of waiting.
Wolt does not recruit directly — an account can only be opened through a settlement partner from Wolt's official list. The account is also tied to one city, and a new one is activated only while that city is recruiting. It is worth checking this with an adviser before you gather your documents.
How the job works at Wolt
No booking hours in advance and no stats deciding whether you get the best windows. You turn the app on and you are live.
Every task appears with a route and an amount. The amount depends on the distance (a maximum of 10 kilometres is paid), the number of live orders and the weather; at peak times the rates get pushed up. Wolt publishes no price list — it prices each task separately.
Wolt has a reputation for a premium selection of places. The routes are shorter and packed more tightly around the centre than in the high-volume apps.
Wolt sits well alongside Uber Eats or Bolt Food — many couriers use them to fill the gaps between peaks. Glovo is the exception: it usually fills a whole shift on its own.
How much does a Wolt courier earn
There is no single rate for the whole of Poland — Wolt prices every task separately and publishes no price list. Across the country, delivery work usually comes to 25–55 zł net per hour, depending on the city, the app, the time of day and the weather; Wolt, paying per task, usually sits in the lower half of that scale. Riding at peak times, couriers usually report 19–38 zł net per hour, depending on the city, the vehicle and the season; evenings, weekends and bad weather push the rates up. Tips come on top, but do not count them as a fixed part of your hourly pay. How to become a Wolt courier — 3 steps
Your name, e-mail, phone number and city. You go into the settlement partner's system with the fields already filled in.
You upload your ID document and sign the contract on the website. While you are at it, the adviser will check whether your city is recruiting — without that the account will not be activated.
A thermal bag is compulsory, but Wolt neither hands out nor sells equipment — you get it from the partner or use what is left over from another app.
What you need
The platform itself requires it. There is no upper age limit.
Polish citizens — a dowód osobisty (national ID card). Foreigners — a passport and proof of legal residence: a karta pobytu (residence card), a visa or PESEL UKR (the Polish ID number for people from Ukraine). The settlement partner takes care of the legal side.
In a tight city centre a bike or e-bike wins; on longer routes a scooter does. The equipment can be rented from the partner.
The bag is compulsory, its brand is not — any thermal bag will do, including one from another app.
You cannot open an account without one: Wolt does not recruit couriers directly.
The account is activated only while your city is recruiting. In smaller towns recruitment is sometimes closed.
Already riding for Wolt with another partner?
A change of partner at Wolt takes effect only on the first working day after the month closes, so plan it in advance — a request filed mid-month will simply wait. Both partners file the request: the current one and the new one, and without a submission from both the switch will not go through. Do not terminate the contract with your old partner yourself — they are the ones settling your current month. Your courier account and your history stay with you.

Common questions about working with Wolt
Is it true that Wolt has no slots?
There are no hours to book — you log in when you want to ride. That is a real difference from Glovo, where access to the best windows depends on booking ahead and on your stats.
Do I have to accept every task?

Can I combine Wolt with other apps?
Formally nothing forbids it and plenty of couriers do — most often with Uber Eats or Bolt Food. Glovo is a story of its own: the flow of orders there fills a whole shift, so people run it separately.
When do I get my first money?
The partner handles the settlements in their own app, and you request a payout whenever you want — including as a BLIK cheque (a code you use instead of a card): you generate it at any hour and take the cash out of an ATM. No waiting for a transfer to reach your account.
What if my city is not recruiting?
Then the account simply waits to be activated and the registration goes no further. The partner's adviser will check the status for your city before you gather your documents, so you do not waste time.
