Working with Wolt — how it works

Wolt came to Poland from Scandinavia and you can tell: a polished app, transparent fees and customers who order from better places. You see every job with its route and its amount in advance — you take what suits you, with no schedule to book.

No slot booking — you go online whenever you want to ride
Higher average basket and polite customers — they order from the better restaurants in the centre more often
A polished app and support that genuinely replies

Wolt — Szczecin: where, when and what to ride

📍

Where the orders are

The centre with the Bogusław promenade (deptak Bogusława) and Wały Chrobrego is the core; Pogodno and Niebuszewo hold the evening traffic. Prawobrzeże means longer, rarer routes — as a rule better paid.

When to ride

Evenings 18–21 are stronger than lunches; weekend dinners are dependable. Summer events on the Odra lift whole weekends.

🚲

What to ride

The wide avenues suit a scooter, but downtown a bike is perfectly enough. Over the bridges to Prawobrzeże — a scooter or a car.

💡 A tip from couriers in Szczecin

Concentrate on the centre: Wolt rewards short, dense routes here, not kilometres across the bridge. In bad weather fees rise, and riders drop off faster than in bigger cities.

Wolt compared with other apps

The market is split between Wolt, Glovo and Uber Eats (Bolt Food does not operate in Szczecin). Wolt holds the centre and the better places; if you want a full schedule you add Uber Eats — Glovo, as usual, is ridden separately.

How to start working with Wolt — 3 steps

Wolt does not recruit couriers directly — an account is opened only through a settlement partner from the official list. The partner signs the contract, handles the taxes and walks you through activation; ours is on that list.

1
Fill in the form and proceed to registration

Full name, e-mail, phone — you'll land in the partner's system with fields prefilled.

2
Upload documents and sign the contract online

Everything step by step on the site — no office visit. Do it right away, no need to wait for a call.

3
Download the partner's app

Settlements and payouts live there. An advisor may call later — anything up to a week on; your registration keeps moving anyway.

Frequently asked — Wolt Szczecin

How much does a Wolt courier make in Szczecin?

Nationwide, the usual range is 25–55 zł net per hour, depending on the city, the app, the time of day and the weather, with Wolt typically in the lower half of that scale. In Szczecin it is usually 20–30 zł net per hour at the peaks; with less competition the stream of jobs stays steady. Each job's fee is visible before you accept.

Where are most Wolt jobs in Szczecin?

The Bogusław promenade, the Wały Chrobrego area and the downtown restaurants. In the evening Pogodno and Niebuszewo work well too.

Does Wolt deliver to Prawobrzeże?

It does — the routes are longer and rarer, which makes them better paid and less contested. With a scooter it is a calm way to earn good fees.

What documents do I need to deliver with Wolt?

The platform itself asks for two things: you must be 18 or over and hold a valid identity document. The rest sits with the settlement partner — Polish citizens need a dowód osobisty (ID card), foreigners a passport plus proof of legal stay (karta pobytu — residence card, a visa or PESEL UKR). The partner checks the full set and helps with legalisation.

Do I need to register my own business?

Registering a business is not necessary — you sign the contract with a settlement partner, and they handle the taxes and ZUS contributions. Our partner appears on Wolt's official list of partners, so your account is activated by the standard route.

Do I have to accept every job?

Turning a job down is not punished — you can simply let it go. Wolt publishes no official threshold, but you can see your acceptance rate in the app, and from couriers' experience it is better to keep it above 60%, and closer to 80% is more comfortable: accounts have been blocked where the rate was very low and jobs were dropped often. Cancelling a job you have already accepted is a separate matter — there is a limit on those and you report them through support.

Is my city actually taking on couriers?

Wolt activates new accounts only where recruitment in that city is open — in smaller cities it is sometimes closed for a while. The partner's advisor checks the current status before you collect your documents, so you do not spend time waiting for nothing.

Do I have to book slots with Wolt?

Working hours do not have to be planned in advance here — instead of a slot calendar you have an ordinary online button. It is a clear difference from Glovo, where access to the best hours depends on booking ahead.

Will I get equipment — a bag and a jacket?

You need a thermal bag for deliveries, and that is the only genuinely compulsory piece of kit. The platform does not hand them out — you buy or rent one from the settlement partner, and kit from another app will normally do at the start.

Do tips go to the courier?

A tip from the app is added to your payment for the job and stays with you. Do not plan your hourly rate around tips, though — people leave them less often on Wolt than on some other apps.

When will I see my first money?

You can take your first money out after just a few jobs: the partner settles them in the app and you choose when the transfer goes. BLIK is available too, so the funds are in your account within minutes. It works as a BLIK cheque: you generate the code in the app at any hour and take the cash out of an ATM, even on a Saturday — no waiting for a transfer to land.

Do I need to speak Polish?

Basic Polish or English is perfectly enough — the app runs on the map, and contact with the customer comes down to handing over the order. You can go through registration and support in Russian or Ukrainian.

What is a settlement partner in Wolt?

A settlement partner signs the contract with the courier and takes over dealings with the authorities — that way you deliver legally without registering a company. Wolt keeps an official list of trusted partners, and our partner is on it.

I already deliver with Wolt under another partner — can I switch?

Moving to another settlement partner is handled on a monthly cycle: both partners file the request, and the account passes to the new one after the month ends. You do not have to stop riding — the current month is settled by your existing company. We describe the whole process on a separate page.
