Courier jobs with Wolt in Gdansk
The Tricity is Wolt's natural ground — the platform's Scandinavian roots show here more than anywhere: a strong position in Gdansk, loyal customers and a season that lifts fees from May to September.
What working with Wolt looks like
Wolt came to Poland from Scandinavia and you can tell: a polished app, transparent fees and customers who order from better places. You see every job with its route and its amount in advance — you take what suits you, with no schedule to book.

Where the orders are
The Main Town and Wrzeszcz are the two hearts of the traffic; Oliwa adds office lunches from Olivia Business Centre, and Przymorze brings evenings on the huge estates. In summer Sopot lives to its own rhythm.
When to ride
The May–September season is the real harvest — evenings and weekends full of jobs, and a rainy day by the sea can be the best day of the month. Off-season the rhythm is held by lunches in Oliwa and by students.
What to ride
The flat runs along Grunwaldzka suit bikes; for the longer Wrzeszcz–Oliwa–Przymorze legs a scooter is better. Count the wind off the bay into your travel time.
In the Tricity, Wolt is at its strongest in Oliwa and Wrzeszcz — offices and better restaurants meet there in a small area. Sopot is tempting in summer, but the seaside traffic can eat the whole advantage of a higher fee.
How Wolt differs from other apps
In the Tricity Wolt runs neck and neck with Glovo — and this is where choosing Wolt often feels most natural: a strong brand, loyal customers, good fees in the centre. Glovo gives wider volume and is better taken on a separate day; Uber Eats slots in nicely for the gaps.
How to become a Wolt courier: from the form to your first delivery
Wolt does not recruit couriers directly — an account is opened only through a settlement partner from the official list. The partner signs the contract, handles the taxes and walks you through activation; ours is on that list.
Full name, e-mail and phone — they carry over into the partner's system, so you type them once.
Upload a scan of your ID on the site and sign the contract electronically. No need to wait for a call first.
Settlements and payouts live there. The advisor may call later, even a week on — your registration moves ahead regardless.

Frequently asked — Wolt Gdansk
How much does a Wolt courier make in Gdansk?
Nationwide, couriers usually take home 25–55 zł net per hour, depending on the city, the app, the time of day and the weather, with Wolt typically in the lower half of that scale. In Gdansk, in the summer season and at weekends, realistically 23–36 zł net per hour and more in bursts; off-season it sits closer to 20–30 zł. The fee for a job is always visible before you accept.
Does Wolt work across the whole Tricity?
It does — Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia each have their own zones. In summer Sopot can be a small gold mine; in winter Gdansk with Wrzeszcz and Oliwa is the surer bet.
What is Wolt like in Gdansk off-season?
Calmer, but steady: office lunches in Oliwa and evenings in Wrzeszcz. A good moment to learn the routes and build a rhythm before the summer peak.
What documents do I need to deliver with Wolt?
The platform itself asks for two things: you must be 18 or over and hold a valid identity document. The rest sits with the settlement partner — Polish citizens need a dowód osobisty (ID card), foreigners a passport plus proof of legal stay (karta pobytu — residence card, a visa or PESEL UKR). The partner checks the full set and helps with legalisation.
Do I need to register my own business?
A company of your own is not needed — through a settlement partner you ride completely legally without registering a działalność gospodarcza (sole proprietorship). The contract, the taxes and the ZUS (social insurance) contributions are on the partner's side, and our partner is on Wolt's official list of partners.
Do I have to accept every job?
There is no obligation to take everything the app offers, and Wolt publishes no threshold. From couriers' experience a safe level is over 60% accepted, and the closer to 80%, the fewer questions. A job you have already accepted is another story: you can drop it only a few times, and only through support.
Is my city actually taking on couriers?
Recruitment at Wolt opens and closes city by city, and an account is activated only when yours is open. Before you start collecting papers, the partner's advisor will confirm how things stand where you are.
Do I have to book slots with Wolt?
Wolt does not use a slot system — you do not reserve hours ahead of time. You switch the app on when you have time and take the jobs offered; for many couriers the absence of a schedule is the main reason they choose this app.
How do jobs reach me, and how do I know what I will earn?
Before you confirm a job you see the full picture: where from, where to and for how much. That makes it easy to judge whether a route is worth it — and when traffic is heavy or it rains, fees rise automatically.
Will I get equipment — a bag and a jacket?
A thermal bag is compulsory, but Wolt neither issues nor sells kit — you get it from the settlement partner, buying or renting. A bag you have already used on another app is usually enough to start. Branded clothing, if there is any at all, comes from the partner rather than the platform.
Can I combine Wolt with other apps?
Wolt sits comfortably alongside Uber Eats or Bolt Food — two apps at once let you fill the gaps between peaks. Glovo is a separate story: orders there come almost without a break, so it is ridden separately.
When will I see my first money?
Settlements and payouts run through the partner's app, and you request the transfer whenever you want — BLIK included, every day if you like. There are no fixed payout cycles to wait for.
Do I need to speak Polish?
Polish is useful, but it is not a condition of starting: the interface guides you by map, and you handle the formalities with the partner in your own language — Russian, Ukrainian or English.
I already deliver with Wolt under another partner — can I switch?
Moving to another settlement partner is handled on a monthly cycle: both partners file the request, and the account passes to the new one after the month ends. You do not have to stop riding — the current month is settled by your existing company. We describe the whole process on a separate page.
