Glovo or Wolt: which app should you deliver for
You carry the same food and settle through a settlement partner either way, but the daily routine differs. Glovo lets you book hours ahead and covers far more towns; Wolt lets you log in whenever you like. Here is the difference point by point, including what neither of them shows you.
Slots in Glovo, free login in Wolt
In Glovo you book time blocks in the “Grafik” or “Kalendarz” tab. Blocks are limited and the queue follows your stats: the higher your courier score (the old batch, now Wynik Doskonałości), the earlier you pick hours. Points start after 7 days of work, and the window is the last 28 days.
Wolt has no slots — you log in when you want. All you see is the zone load indicator: Gorąco, Normalnie, Spokojnie. That is information, not a booking: nothing to cancel, nothing to plan a week ahead either.
What they pay for, and what neither publishes
- Both show the amount before you accept: Glovo the estimated income with the distance and both addresses on the map, Wolt the route and the sum before you tap accept.
- Wolt pays by distance, number of active orders, where the points sit and the weather, adding roughly 10–20% at peak hours; paid kilometres are capped at 10. Glovo adds multipliers for bad weather, waiting at the pickup and larger orders, but no kilometre cap was found.
- Neither publishes a rate table: Wolt classified its own on 6 November 2023, and no fixed formula has ever been found for Glovo — only multipliers, no base rate. So you cannot work an hour out in advance; only the figure on the order in front of you is reliable.
- Cash: in Wolt you may hold 300 zł, above that the account goes offline, and cash unsettled over a week means deactivation. In Glovo it is settled daily through glovocash.pl, outside the partner.
Cities: this is where the gap is widest
Glovo covers a very wide list of towns — the courier handbook lists over 150 entries, from the largest cities down to dozens of small ones. Wolt is visibly narrower: confirmed recruitment covers the ten biggest cities plus the Aglomeracja Śląska, Chorzów, Gliwice and Sosnowiec zones.
Both activate an account only while recruitment in that city is open, and in Wolt it is often closed in smaller towns — reason number one behind “I signed up and nothing happens”. Your account is tied to one city.
Getting in, waiting time and the bag
- Wolt does not recruit directly — you get in only through a settlement partner. Since 29 June 2026 Glovo takes umowa zlecenie through a partner or B2B on your own działalność.
- Activation: for Glovo the settlement partner says “usually a few days”, for Wolt it gives no timeframe at all — it depends on free places in your city.
- Entry requirements are nearly identical: 18 years old, a valid ID, a smartphone. Wolt officially asks for nothing more; for Glovo, per a competing fleet, no działalność or sanitary book is needed.
- A thermal bag is needed for both, but Wolt does not sell or hand out equipment at all: you take one from the partner or use your own from another app. In Glovo you buy it or get it from the settlement partner.
Rejecting orders and cancelling accepted ones
Wolt officially does not penalise you for turning orders down, yet it shows an acceptance indicator, and 2025 brought a wave of blocks for a low percentage and frequent cancellations. Wolt announces no threshold — from courier practice, stay above 60%, calmer closer to 80%. Glovo gives no number either, but the share of accepted orders feeds the score that sets your slot queue.
Dropping an order you already accepted is another story. In Wolt you cannot do it yourself since January 2024; since September 2024 you get about 3 cancellations a month, and for a restaurant delay only after 10 minutes. Glovo describes no cancellation — only reassigning the order after 5 minutes, through support.
Can you ride for both at once
Yes. Wolt says it plainly: no legal obligation stops you from using competing platforms. For Glovo no ban appears in any source we checked, and the settlement partner adds that you can work in several apps at once, with earnings and settlements in one place. Comfort differs: an independent multi-apping ranking gave Wolt 8 out of 10 and Glovo 2.5.
Who each one fits
- You want to plan the week ahead — Glovo, the only one with slots built in; a newcomer still gets the worse hours.
- You live outside a big city — start with Glovo, its city list is several times longer than Wolt's confirmed zones.
- You want no commitments — Wolt, though not for two days a month: the handbook cites around 30 orders in your first month.
- You need documents for legalisation — in Glovo the whole income runs on umowa zlecenie, so the paperwork shows real income and contributions.
FAQ
Which app pays more?
You cannot compare it upfront, because both keep their rates secret. The settlement partner quotes roughly 4,200–8,500 zł a month on Glovo and 4,500–8,000 zł on Wolt. The MB Partner fleet counts 41.69–52.76 zł per hour for Wolt by voivodeship, but that is its own recruiting marketing, while an independent blog in autumn 2025 called Wolt one of the weakest paying platforms. The market range is 25–55 zł an hour in hand, and you see the rate for each order before you accept it.
Can I work for Glovo and Wolt at the same time?
Yes. Wolt sees no legal obstacle, and for Glovo there is no ban in any source we checked. The settlement partner confirms you can work in one or several apps at once and settle everything in one place. It is easier from the Wolt side — an independent multi-apping ranking gave it 8 out of 10 against 2.5 for Glovo.
Do I have to accept every order?
No. Wolt says plainly there are no penalties for rejecting orders, and Glovo announces no threshold. Both still measure it: in Glovo the share of accepted orders sets your place in the slot queue, while in Wolt 2025 brought a wave of blocks for a low percentage.
What happens if I take a longer break?
In Wolt, with no deliveries at all, the account turns inactive after about 30 days — officially 30, while the courier handbook from late 2025 says 21. You get it back through the partner, only while recruitment is open. In Glovo the scoring window is 28 days, with no formal penalty for the pause itself.
How does changing the settlement partner work?
In Glovo it takes 2–3 days, costs nothing and you need not warn the old partner. Wolt is slower: both fleets — current and new — file the request, and the switch happens on the first working day after the month ends.
