What working with Wolt looks like

Wolt — Wroclaw: where, when and what to ride

📍

Where the orders are

The Rynek and its surroundings plus Nadodrze are the base; office lunches grow around Sky Tower, and plac Grunwaldzki comes alive with student evenings. Krzyki means calm, longer deliveries to apartment blocks.

When to ride

Lunch 12–14 by the offices and evening 18–21 in the centre; the academic year clearly lifts weekday evenings. Rain over the Odra = boosted fees.

🚲

What to ride

A bike copes best with the bridges and the narrow streets; for Krzyki a scooter is more comfortable. In winter the wind off the river calls for proper gloves.

💡 A tip from couriers in Wroclaw

Stick to the core: the Rynek, Nadodrze and plac Grunwaldzki close out most jobs within a few kilometres. During concerts and matches it is better to stay in the centre than to follow the crowd — the jobs come back to the middle of the city anyway.

Wolt or other apps?

Wolt and Glovo split Wroclaw's centre almost evenly — Wolt takes the better restaurants and higher baskets, Glovo the volume and the shops. Wolt pairs well with Uber Eats; Glovo is ridden on its own.

How to become a Wolt courier — 3 steps

The only way into Wolt is through a settlement partner from the official list — the platform runs no recruitment of its own. The contract, the taxes and account activation are on the partner's side; you fill in the form and upload your documents online.

1
Fill in the form and proceed to registration

Full name, e-mail, phone — you'll land in the partner's system with fields prefilled.

2
Upload documents and sign the contract online

Everything step by step on the site — no office visit. Do it right away, no need to wait for a call.

3
Download the partner's app

Settlements and payouts live there. An advisor may call later — anything up to a week on; your registration keeps moving anyway.

Frequently asked — Wolt Wroclaw

How much does a Wolt courier make in Wroclaw?

Across Poland, delivery work usually comes to 25–55 zł net per hour, depending on the city, the app, the time of day and the weather; Wolt pays per task and tends to sit in the lower half of that scale. In Wroclaw, riding the peaks regularly, it is usually 22–35 zł net per hour; the best windows are academic-year evenings and weekend dinners. The fee for a job is always visible up front.

Which parts of Wroclaw are best for Wolt?

The Rynek and around it, Nadodrze and the office strip on Legnicka. In the evening it is worth sitting between the Rynek and plac Grunwaldzki — students and residents order in turns.

Bike or scooter for Wolt in Wroclaw?

In the centre, a bike — the routes are short, and the bridges and side streets reward agility. A scooter makes sense if you also want the longer deliveries out to Krzyki or Fabryczna.

What documents do I need to deliver with Wolt?

Polish citizens need a dowód osobisty (ID card). Foreigners add a passport and a document confirming legal stay — a karta pobytu (residence card), a visa or PESEL UKR. You go through the paperwork with the partner's advisor, who will tell you exactly what applies in your case.

Do I need to register my own business?

A company of your own is not needed — through a settlement partner you ride completely legally without registering a działalność gospodarcza (sole proprietorship). The contract, the taxes and the ZUS (social insurance) contributions are on the partner's side, and our partner is on Wolt's official list of partners.

Do I have to accept every job?

You can decline offers, and nobody penalises you for declining as such. Wolt gives no official threshold, but your acceptance rate is visible in the app — couriers usually advise keeping it above 60%, and ideally somewhere near 80%. Dropping a job you have already accepted is different: the number of those is limited and they go through support.

What happens if I take a longer break?

An account with no deliveries for roughly a month goes inactive, and restoring it runs through the partner and depends on whether recruitment in your city is open. At the start it is also better not to put off your first jobs — the platform expects newly activated couriers to ride regularly in the first few weeks.

Do I have to book slots with Wolt?

There is no slot booking at Wolt — you log into the app when you want to ride and take the jobs that suit you. That is a big difference from Glovo: no planning your calendar in advance.

How do jobs reach me, and how do I know what I will earn?

The app offers you a job with the route and the fee on screen — you decide whether to take it. The amount depends on distance (a maximum of 10 kilometres is paid), on how many orders are active and on the weather, and at peak times fees get boosted. Wolt publishes no price list: every job is priced separately.

Will I get equipment — a bag and a jacket?

Equipment comes down to a thermal bag — without one the restaurant will not hand over the order. Wolt does not trade in kit, so you sort a bag out through the settlement partner or use the one left over from your previous app.

Do tips go to the courier?

The tip amount shows in your settlement alongside the fee for the job and stays with you. Some couriers say tipping happens less often on Wolt than on Uber Eats — treat it as a bonus, not a plan.

When will I see my first money?

Settlements run through the partner's app — you can request a payout even daily, BLIK included. No waiting for fixed payout cycles.

What is a settlement partner in Wolt?

It is the middleman between courier and platform: it takes on the contract, the taxes and the payouts. Wolt vets such companies and publishes their list — it is worth checking that the partner you are going to is genuinely on it. Ours is.

I already deliver with Wolt under another partner — can I switch?

Switching is possible, but not overnight: the request to Wolt is filed by both partners — your current one and the new one — and the account only switches over on the first working day after the month closes. You do not terminate the contract with the old partner yourself, because they are the ones settling your current month. We have a step-by-step guide on a separate page.
