Three apps in a resort with a 511 m pier
This resort, with a pier 511.5 m long, has 31,205 permanent residents (as of 31.12.2025), and tourists arrive in summer. Food is delivered by Glovo, Wolt and Uber Eats couriers; since 5 October 2026 Glovo has worked without slots. One settlement partner lets you ride for several apps at once.
Flat Lower Sopot, Upper Sopot past the escarpment
Lower Sopot by the beach is flat, but along ul. Sobieskiego and Winieckiego runs an escarpment 7–25 m high, and Upper Sopot begins above it. Further west the land rises to 152.7 m above sea level. An e-bike or scooter helps on the climbs.
Al. Niepodległości and a centre paid every day
Al. Niepodległości, the main artery, carries through traffic between Gdańsk and Gdynia. Since 1 May 2026 the central parking zone (incl. Bałtycka and Haffnera) is paid every day, 9–22 from April to September and 9–20 from October to March; the first hour is 9.50 zł. The outer zone is paid on weekdays only.
17.3 km² from Kamienny Potok to Karlikowo
Sopot covers just 17.3 km², so trips are short. Kamienny Potok in the north has its own SKM stop, Sopot station is in the centre, and Karlikowo in the south has the hippodrome and the Sopot Wyścigi stop. Addresses in Upper Sopot, such as Brodwino on ul. Kolberga, mean a climb.
Monciak and the Haffner Centre
Most venues line the Bohaterów Monte Cassino promenade, known as Monciak — full of restaurants, cafés and clubs, with cars running through a tunnel underneath. At its lower end, on plac Przyjaciół Sopotu opposite Dom Zdrojowy, stands Centrum Haffnera with restaurants and an underground car park.
Spa town, Forest Opera and Ergo Arena
Sopot regained its spa-town status in 1999. The Forest Opera (Opera Leśna) has hosted the Sopot Festival since 1964, and Ergo Arena, seating over 11,000, stands on the Gdańsk border at Plac Dwóch Miast 1. Concerts bring crowds and traffic nearby, but also orders before and after the show.

Bike or scooter for Sopot's climbs?
A regular bike works well on flat Lower Sopot and around Monciak. If you often get addresses past the escarpment in Upper Sopot, an e-bike or scooter is the better choice. A car is harder — parking in the centre is paid every day.
Where do runs in Sopot most often get held up?
On the climbs past the escarpment by ul. Sobieskiego and Winieckiego, and in jams on Al. Niepodległości. Monciak is pedestrian-only, so some venues can be reached only on foot. It also gets crowded before concerts at the Forest Opera and Ergo Arena, and by the pier in summer.
When is it worth going online in Sopot?
Usually at lunchtime and from early evening until late, as well as on Saturdays and Sundays. The summer season is felt most, when Monciak and the pier are packed with tourists. Keep an eye on the Forest Opera and Ergo Arena calendars too — demand grows before big events.
