Wroclaw has 670,000 residents, laid out across islands, bridges and universities. The academic year changes everything: from October evenings get dense, while summer sees the market dip. By day, office towers and old-town visitors keep things busy; after dark, it's the dorms and residential estates. Something is always happening, but couriers are never scarce either.

The heaviest concentration of restaurants is in the Old Town around the Rynek, with Nadodrze and Krzyki also working hard. You'll deliver to Gaj, Popowice, Maslice, and new estates around Jagodno, with Psie Pole in a category of its own — far enough out that one run can cut a big chunk of your shift.

Most Bartoszowicki is only 5.5 m wide and easy to get stuck on. At rush hour Podwale, Piłsudskiego, Powstańców Śląskich, Krakowska, Strzegomska and Drobnera also jam, as does the approach from pl. Bema to Most Uniwersytecki — there a bike often beats a car.

Ołbin — better on two wheels.

Ołbin is a dense, young district full of cafés, but its narrow streets make parking and turning a car difficult. A bike or scooter is faster here.

Where the orders are.

Leafy Biskupin and Sępolno bring plenty of evening orders, while Grabiszyn by the park is busy at weekends. Jagodno is the largest new housing estate of recent years. Tarnogaj is mostly industrial land and allotments, so there are few orders there.

When the centre is packed.

From late November to early January the Christmas market runs on the Rynek — the centre is crowded and slower. In June the Night Half Marathon starts at around 22:00 and closes streets in the evening.

Does Wroclaw have a clean transport zone?
No, Wroclaw currently has no clean transport zone, so you can drive into the centre regardless of your car’s Euro standard. Parking in the centre is paid — in zone A the first hour costs 7 zł.
How do I avoid traffic on Wroclaw’s bridges?
At rush hour avoid Most Bartoszowicki (only 5.5 m wide) and the approach from pl. Bema to Most Uniwersytecki. In the centre at rush hour a bike is often faster than a car.
Where in Wroclaw are orders busiest?
In the evening in Biskupin and Sępolno, at weekends in Grabiszyn. Ołbin has lots of restaurants but tight streets — better to ride a bike there.
How much can you earn as a food delivery courier?
You typically take home 25–55 zł an hour depending on the city, time and weather — that is after deductions, not gross. On Uber Eats in heavy rain or snow it can reach 60–80 zł/h: fewer couriers are out and the orders pile up. Your result depends on how many orders you accept, the distances and the bonuses running in that app. You see the rate for every job in the app before you accept it.
What documents do you need to work as a courier?
Basics: a valid ID or passport, PESEL number, and a Polish bank account for payouts. Non-EU foreigners also need a residence card, work-permit visa or UKR status (for Ukrainians). Cars and scooters require a driver's licence and vehicle papers. The whole verification runs online, usually through a settlement partner.
How does registration work and how long does it take?
You sign up online with a settlement partner — fill in the form, upload your documents, sign the contract. The partner then activates your account in the apps you chose. Bolt Food usually the same day or the next one, Uber Eats within 24–72 hours. With Wolt and Glovo the timing depends on whether your city is currently recruiting couriers — if it is, that's a couple of days. Your advisor checks this before you gather any paperwork.
Can you work without speaking Polish?
Yes — most apps support English, Russian and Ukrainian. Contact with restaurants is usually limited to showing the order number, and customers only see the delivery address. A few simple Polish phrases help at pickup but are not required. Fleet-partner support also operates in Russian and Ukrainian.
What to do if the customer doesn't answer the door?
Try calling through the app first — the customer's number is hidden, but the call goes through. At Bolt Food the rule is three contact attempts and ten minutes of waiting; at Uber Eats the app counts down seven minutes. The exact sequence is always shown in the app itself. Then report it to support — once they confirm, you either leave the order at the door or take it back to the restaurant. How that trip is paid is decided by the app's own support.
Can you work for several apps at the same time?
Wolt, Uber Eats and Bolt Food combine easily — you accept the best order and pause the others while delivering. In your city from 28 September 2026 Glovo runs without slot booking, so combining it with other apps is easier than it used to be: you are not tied to a reserved window. Just remember that on Glovo you don't turn orders down — declines can cost you the account, so it is more practical to switch between apps than to keep two active at once.
Which days of the week are most profitable?
Friday, Saturday and Sunday usually deliver 2–3× more orders than Tuesday or Wednesday. Evenings between 18 and 22 are strongest, lunch 12–14 is the second peak. The end of the month is slower because people watch their spending. Paydays, match weekends and holidays are good times for longer shifts.
