Zero commitment: no slots, no acceptance threshold, and turning a job down costs you nothing
You see the fee and the approximate customer area before you tap Accept

Uber Eats — Wroclaw: where, when and what to ride

📍

Where the orders are

Jagodno is the biggest dormitory district of the last decade and an increasingly common destination for evening jobs; Ołbin tempts with a dense grid of cafés but has narrow streets where a car stops making sense; Biskupin, Sępolno and Dąbie, with their pre-war villas, offer calm, well-paid deliveries. Gądów and Popowice are compact panel-block territory with short runs, while Tarnogaj — where a former gasworks and allotments stand in place of housing — is one of the weakest areas in the city.

When to ride

The academic year lifts weekday evenings, but the local spikes come from events: Nowe Horyzonty at the turn of July and August, the Night Half Marathon starting around 22:00 in early June, and the Christmas market running from late November to 7 January. November and December are also the peak of the smog season — particulate levels in Wroclaw have risen for the third year running.

🚲

What to ride

The cycle network has grown to 428 km, and since April 2025 the Wrocławski Rower Miejski city bike scheme is running again: 240 stations and 2,400 bikes, including in the suburban municipalities. Two crossing details are worth knowing: the Bartoszowicki Bridge is only 5.5 metres wide and can be a bottleneck, and since 2025 the Maślice–Osobowice foot and cycle ferry has been in service, cutting the crossing in the north-west to three or four minutes.

💡 Worth knowing before your first shift in Wroclaw

Build yourself a private map of what each side of the river costs you — since you only learn the address with the food in your bag, you decide on the basis of the area rather than the street. In winter add time for Podwale and Powstańców Śląskich; during the November and December smog peaks an anti-smog mask is ordinary kit for a cyclist.

Uber Eats compared with other apps

Glovo holds the volume in Wroclaw, Wolt the better restaurants on the Rynek, and Uber Eats collects the people who want to come and go from the app without notice. Because the exact address only appears after pickup, it pays in Wroclaw to know the river: a job across the Odra looks the same on the map but can differ by a quarter of an hour depending on the bridge.

How to start working with Uber Eats — 3 steps

Starting requires neither a company nor visits to government offices: you register with a settlement partner, go through video verification and send a photo of your thermal bag. The partner takes on the contract, the taxes and the payouts, and once your account is active you tap Go in the app whenever you feel like riding.

1
Fill in the form and proceed to registration

Full name, e-mail, phone — you'll land in the partner's system with fields prefilled.

2
Upload documents and sign the contract online

Everything step by step on the site — no office visit. Do it right away, no need to wait for a call.

3
Download the partner's app

Settlements and payouts live there. An advisor may call later — anything up to a week on; your registration keeps moving anyway.

Frequently asked — Uber Eats Wroclaw

How much does an Uber Eats courier make in Wroclaw?

Across Poland, delivery work usually comes to 25–55 zł net per hour, depending on the city, the app, the time of day and the weather. In Wroclaw, the 38–46 zł net per hour band at the peaks is cautious and realistic, depending on the season and your vehicle; winter quests can push it up, summer afternoons knock it down. These are take-home figures, after the settlement partner's commission and contributions — there is nothing left to convert.

Can you ride in Wroclaw without a bike of your own?

The Wrocławski Rower Miejski scheme returned in 2025 and has 240 stations, so it can serve as an emergency fix at the start — but over a shift of several hours your own bike or moped comes out cheaper and faster. Uber Eats does not support on-foot couriers, so some kind of vehicle you will need.

Which crossings over the Odra should I choose?

Avoid the narrow ones at peak times — the Bartoszowicki Bridge is only 5.5 metres wide. In the north-west the Maślice–Osobowice ferry does the job: the crossing takes three or four minutes, and hardly any courier remembers it exists.

What documents do I need to deliver with Uber Eats?

The basics are being 18 or over and holding an identity document — a dowód osobisty (Polish ID card) or a passport. Then comes the vehicle: for a bike a photo of it is enough, for a scooter or a car you need a driving licence, the vehicle registration document and OC (compulsory third-party liability insurance). The account is completed by a contract with a settlement partner, a bank account, a short video verification and a photo of your open thermal bag with your ID in the frame. There is no on-foot option in Uber Eats — the app supports bikes, e-bikes, electric scooters, mopeds and cars.

What does a foreigner need in order to ride with Uber Eats?

Beyond your residence document the crucial item is PESEL — it is what unlocks the contract with a settlement partner. Then the basis to work: for citizens of Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia and Moldova usually an oświadczenie o powierzeniu pracy, and for many other groups free access by law. Since July 2026 Uber also requires you to upload your umowa zlecenie (civil-law contract) and checks the legality of your work more closely — it pays to have the full set of papers from day one.

Does Uber Eats require a criminal record certificate?

A criminal record certificate is not something Uber Eats asks for — and do not let anyone tell you otherwise. Uber does not ask couriers for a criminal record certificate from the National Criminal Register, even though some intermediaries' websites claim it does. A trip to court for a certificate is a wasted day and wasted money; what gets checked is your identity and your right to work, not your record.

What do I see before I accept a job?

The amount is open from the start: the app shows it together with the restaurant and the approximate delivery area. You only get the exact address with the food already in your bag — in some countries Uber reveals it earlier, in Poland it does not. Thirty seconds is enough time to decide if you know how long it really takes you to cross a given part of the city.

Do I have to accept every job?

Nobody makes you take everything: turning an offer down costs nothing, and the acceptance rate is not a gate on Uber Eats. If after accepting you realise the restaurant is stalling or the route does not suit you, you unhook yourself through problem with the order, provided you do not have the food yet. What does get punished is repeated lateness at pickup — the first time usually ends in a block of about an hour and a half.

How much can you realistically earn, and where does the difference come from?

Earnings on Uber Eats are strongly seasonal: November and December can be several times better than July. The base has been hidden since the reform at the end of October 2024, so couriers look at what they can see — the amount on the job, the active quests and the zone multiplier. One detail surprises a lot of people: those who ride the most get harder quests for the same money (30 deliveries instead of 15), and a two- or three-week break usually brings the standard thresholds back.

I already ride with Uber Eats under another partner — can I switch?

It is the simplest migration in the industry: no notice periods counted in weeks and no waiting for the end of the month. In practice the whole process fits into two days — one to reassign the account, one for your first settlement with the new settlement partner.

What kind of thermal bag do I need?

Any thermal bag will do — even the one left over from another app, branding of a competitor included. Uber does not sell kit and does not require its own branding; at activation it will only ask for a photo of the open bag with your ID in the frame. A new one you can buy or rent from your settlement partner, often against a deposit that is returned once you start.

Can I combine Uber Eats with other apps?

Combining apps is allowed — the one platform with an explicit ban on multi-apping during paid hours is Pyszne. Bolt Food and Wolt work best alongside Uber Eats. Just be careful with stacking: an approximate customer area is not enough to judge whether two jobs really are on the same route.

When and how do I get paid?

Settlements are run by your settlement partner in their own app: weekly payouts are the standard, while more frequent or on-demand ones may carry a fee. A BLIK cheque is also available — you generate the code in the app at any hour and take the cash out of an ATM, even on a Sunday, without waiting for a transfer.

How do cash orders work?

Cash came back to Uber Eats in June 2026 and works differently than on other apps: the money from the customer stays with you, and the system subtracts it from your subsequent cashless payouts — earn 500 zł, collect 200 zł in cash, and 300 zł lands in your account. You only get such orders when your positive balance covers the amount, and you see them marked before you accept. You do not hand the cash to the restaurant, and if you do not want cash at all you switch the option off in the Uber Driver settings.
