Mielec for couriers: the Wisłoka, two bypasses, Galeria Navigator
Glovo, Uber Eats and Pyszne in the Black Hawk town
The town where PZL Mielec assembles Black Hawk helicopters has 56,032 residents (as of 31.12.2025). Here you deliver food for Glovo, Uber Eats and Pyszne. Since 14 September 2026 Glovo has worked without booking slots, and one settlement partner lets you combine all three apps.
Flat by the Wisłoka, free MKS buses
Mielec lies on the Wisłoka river in the central part of the Sandomierz Basin, so runs are mostly on flat ground — a bike or e-bike will do. Since 1 October 2025 residents have ridden MKS buses for free, and the 2026 rebuild of ul. Inwestorów is adding new cycle paths.
Two bypasses and free parking
Through traffic skirts the centre on the 17 km DW985 bypass (open since 2015), which ends at ul. Dębicka in Rzochów. Since December 2022 the western bypass on DW984 (about 7.6 km) lets you avoid the old bridge over the Wisłoka. There is no paid parking zone — only some private car parks charge.
18 estates across about 47 km²
Mielec is divided into 18 osiedla and covers about 47 km². Furthest from the centre are Mościska in the north-east, Smoczka and Dziubków in the east, and Rzochów and Wojsław in the south; four of them only joined the town in 1985. Big blocks of flats stand on Smoczka I and os. Szafera.
Galeria Navigator, S1, Aura and the Rynek
The biggest pick-up point is Galeria Navigator on ul. Powstańców Warszawy (opened in 2016, over 25,000 m² of leasable space) with a food court. Smaller centres are S1 on ul. Sienkiewicza and Galeria Aura on ul. Biernackiego, and in the very centre there is the Rynek with its medieval layout.
Poland's first special economic zone
SSE EURO-PARK MIELEC was set up on 5 September 1995 as the first special economic zone in Poland, on 627 ha in the north of the town. Its best-known plant is PZL Mielec: owned by Sikorsky since 2007 (now part of Lockheed Martin), it builds M28 aircraft as well as Black Hawks.
