Leczna has fewer than 22,000 residents, a town that grew up around the coal mine in nearby Bogdanka. The mine's shift system is the real clock here: when a shift ends, orders appear even midweek. Summer adds traffic heading toward the Leczynsko-Wlodawskie lake district.

The historic centre with its market squares and the newer estates are two different worlds - venues sit mainly in the newer part, where most people live. Deliveries go to residential estates, single-family homes, and shops on the main roads. Bogdanka itself lies outside town, so you'll almost never make a run to the mine. How much can you earn as a food delivery courier?
You typically take home 25–55 zł an hour depending on the city, time and weather — that is after deductions, not gross. On Uber Eats in heavy rain or snow it can reach 60–80 zł/h: fewer couriers are out and the orders pile up. Your result depends on how many orders you accept, the distances and the bonuses running in that app. You see the rate for every job in the app before you accept it.
What documents do you need to work as a courier?
Basics: a valid ID or passport, a PESEL number, and a Polish bank account for payouts. Non-EU foreigners also need a residence card, work-permit visa or UKR status (for Ukrainians). For a car or scooter you also need a driving licence and vehicle papers. The whole verification runs online, usually through a settlement partner.
How does registration work and how long does it take?
You sign up online with a settlement partner — fill in the form, upload your documents, sign the contract. The partner then activates your account in the apps you chose. Bolt Food usually the same day or the next one, Uber Eats within 24–72 hours. With Wolt and Glovo the timing depends on whether they are currently recruiting couriers in your city — if they are, it usually takes a few days. Your consultant will check this before you gather any paperwork.
Does weather affect the number of orders?
It really does. Rain, snow and cold push orders up because people stay home. Many couriers also stop working in bad weather, which means more deliveries for those who go out. Get a proper rain jacket and waterproof phone covers — they pay for themselves in one shift.
How does the courier rating system work?
Every platform scores your work: acceptance rate, delivery time, customer feedback. A higher rating unlocks bonuses and better conditions in the apps. In your city from 5 October 2026 Glovo needs no slot booking, but the metrics still count. Be polite at the door, deliver on time and avoid cancelling accepted orders — your rating will take care of itself.
What to do if the customer doesn't answer the door?
Try calling through the app first — the customer's number is hidden, but the call goes through. At Bolt Food the rule is three contact attempts and ten minutes of waiting; at Uber Eats the app counts down seven minutes. The exact sequence is always shown in the app itself. Then report it to support — once they confirm, you either leave the order at the door or take it back to the restaurant. How that trip is paid is decided by the app's own support.
Can you choose orders or are they assigned randomly?
Each platform works differently. Wolt and Bolt Food show the order before you accept — you can decline if it is too far or pays too low. Glovo auto-assigns orders while you are online — in your city from 5 October 2026 with no slot to book, you simply go online.
