Three apps in the town on Lake Jamno
Koszalin has 104,582 residents (GUS, 31.12.2025). Since 28 September 2026 Glovo here has worked without booking slots — you switch the app on whenever you have time. Uber Eats and Pyszne couriers deliver too, and one settlement partner lets you run several apps at once.
City bikes run from March to November
In 2026 the Koszalin city bike system (Koszaliński Rower Miejski) runs from 1 March to the end of November: 170 bikes at 20 stations, for example at the Town Hall, on Traugutta and on Budowlana. There are no city bikes in winter, so to work all year you need your own bike or scooter.
Two expressway bypasses and a railway
National roads 6 and 11 run through the city, and the S6 (northern bypass) and S11 (south-western bypass) meet inside Koszalin. The railway separates the western part of town from the centre, so trips to the Morskie or Nowobramskie estates mean crossing to the other side of the tracks.
106 km², from the centre to Jamno
Koszalin covers about 106 km² (GUS). Many addresses are on the northern estates — Kotarbińskiego, Śniadeckich, Wańkowicza and Na Skarpie. Jamno and Łabusz by Lake Jamno joined the city in 2010, and Kretomino and part of Stare Bielice in 2023, so some trips take you far from the centre.
Shopping centres and summer by the sea
You pick up restaurant orders at places like Forum on ul. Paderewskiego and the EMKA centre on ul. Jana Pawła II. In summer some of the traffic moves to the coast — the Baltic is about 12 km away, and on sunny days the road to Mielno gets very busy.
The university and the Rejtana dorms
Koszalin University of Technology has campuses on ul. Kwiatkowskiego, Racławicka and Śniadeckich, and its dorms are on ul. Rejtana. In September 2026 it expected about 1,200–1,300 new students. If you are a student under 26, you pay no ZUS or income tax on an umowa zlecenie (civil contract).
