The Gwda river splits Piła into an eastern and a western half, and on both sides food is delivered by Glovo, Uber Eats and Pyszne couriers. The city has 68,762 residents (as of 31.12.2025). Since 28 September 2026 you no longer book slots in Glovo, and one settlement partner lets you mix apps.
A river valley, not mountains
Piła's lowest point is 50 m above sea level and its highest 134 m, so the height difference within the city is small. In 2014 it had 37.9 km of cycle paths. For daily work you will want your own bike, and a scooter or car for winter and longer runs.
Roads 10 and 11 and a paid centre
National roads 10 (Szczecin–Bydgoszcz) and 11 (Kołobrzeg–Poznań) run through Piła, and the western bypass is still being built. The centre has a paid parking zone: on weekdays 8:00–18:00 the first hour costs 2 zł, and in subzone A the first 30 minutes are free once a day.
