Glogow covers 35.37 km². The centre sits on the left bank of the Oder, with Ostrów Tumski on the right bank, linked to the city by Most Tolerancji. Your own bike or e-bike is enough for short trips in the centre; city buses are run by Komunikacja Miejska w Głogowie.

Two bridges, a paid zone and a bypass ahead

Traffic crosses the Oder via Most Tolerancji and the Stara Odra crossing — both stayed open during the September 2024 flood. In February 2025 GDDKiA signed a contract with Strabag for an 18.5 km DK12 bypass with a new Oder crossing. The centre has a paid parking zone — check the current rate on the parking meter.

From Hutnik to Krzepów

Addresses are spread across estates such as Hutnik, Kościuszki, Nadodrze and Żarków, and across the river on Ostrów Tumski. Krzepów lies on the Czarna, where water backs up when the Oder runs high. To the outer estates a scooter or car beats a bike.

Galeria Glogovia and the Rynek

Galeria Glogovia at ul. Piłsudskiego 19 opened in 2016, with over 21,000 m² of leasable space and 82 units. The other key spot on the map is the Old Town with the Rynek and town hall, which is being rebuilt after its destruction in World War II to restore its pre-war look.

Smelter, handball and jazz

The copper smelter is the town's biggest employer, and its ore processing makes Glogow a major world supplier of silver. SPR Chrobry's handball team plays in the Superliga at the hall on ul. Wita Stwosza, Chrobry's footballers in I liga, and a jazz festival has been held here every year since 1984.
