On the Biała, below St Martin's Hill
Tarnow lies on the Biała and Dunajec; its highest point is St Martin's Hill (Góra św. Marcina, 384 m) south-east of the centre, at the edge of the Carpathian Foothills. A bike for town can be rented or bought.
Two A4 junctions and the 8–18 zone
You can join the A4 at the Tarnów Mościce or Tarnów Centrum (DK73) junctions. The eastern bypass linking the A4 with DK94 is not coming any time soon. The central paid parking zone runs on working days 8–18, the first hour costs 3.90 zł, and since June 2026 it covers more streets.

Tarnow covers 72.4 km² and is split into 16 estates (osiedla). Mościce, built in the late 1920s together with the nitrogen works (now Grupa Azoty), lies a few kilometres west of the centre. Plenty of runs also go to Krzyż and Koszyce, where the shopping centres are.
Gemini Park, Tarnovia and the Rynek
Gemini Park at ul. Nowodąbrowska 127 has over 120 shops, outlets and restaurants. Galeria Tarnovia at ul. Krakowska 149, on the road to Kraków, has cafes, restaurants and a Multikino. In the centre you collect orders on the Rynek and on ul. Wałowa along its north side.
Tarnow Academy on Mickiewicza
