Where the orders are
Lower Sopot carries the whole load — Monte Cassino, the area around the pier and the strip of seafront restaurants. Upper Sopot with Brodwino sits higher up and further from the beach, and Kamienny Potok is practically the border with the neighbouring town.
When to ride
From June to August the evenings run long, and a sudden change in the weather can fill the app with orders within a quarter of an hour. Outside the season there is far less work, and plenty of couriers combine the resort with riding in the bigger city next door.
What to ride
A bike covers Lower Sopot, and it is usually the fastest way to get around, since in summer a car simply does not move through here. The climb to the upper part is short but steep — an e-bike saves your legs.
Watch the weather and the trains — a packed beach at midday usually means a packed app by evening. In summer, leave your vehicle off the main promenade, since you will walk the last stretch anyway, and hunting for a parking spot costs more time than the route itself.

How to become a Wolt courier: from the form to your first delivery
Starting with Wolt does not require a company of your own, but it does require a settlement partner — without one the platform will not open an account. You register with a partner from the official list, sign the contract online and, once activated, pick your first jobs.
Full name, e-mail and phone — they carry over into the partner's system, so you type them once.

Is it worth riding in Sopot in winter?
In winter the resort noticeably slows down, and a whole shift can come up short on jobs. Many couriers treat the town as an extra then and move their base elsewhere.
Do I need a separate account for neighbouring cities?
An account works in one assigned location, so riding in another zone requires filing a change through the settlement partner. That only goes through when recruitment is open in the target city.
Do I have to declare hours in advance?
No, Wolt has no slot booking. You switch the app on when you want to ride and off when you are done — in a resort where everything depends on the weather, that is genuinely practical.
What documents do I need to deliver with Wolt?
Polish citizens need a dowód osobisty (ID card). Foreigners add a passport and a document confirming legal stay — a karta pobytu (residence card), a visa or PESEL UKR. You go through the paperwork with the partner's advisor, who will tell you exactly what applies in your case.
Do I need to register my own business?
A company of your own is not needed — through a settlement partner you ride completely legally without registering a działalność gospodarcza (sole proprietorship). The contract, the taxes and the ZUS (social insurance) contributions are on the partner's side, and our partner is on Wolt's official list of partners.
Do I have to accept every job?
Turning a job down is not punished — you can simply let it go. Wolt publishes no official threshold, but you can see your acceptance rate in the app, and from couriers' experience it is better to keep it above 60%, and closer to 80% is more comfortable: accounts have been blocked where the rate was very low and jobs were dropped often. Cancelling a job you have already accepted is a separate matter — there is a limit on those and you report them through support.
Is my city actually taking on couriers?
Wolt activates new accounts only where recruitment in that city is open — in smaller cities it is sometimes closed for a while. The partner's advisor checks the current status before you collect your documents, so you do not spend time waiting for nothing.
What happens if I take a longer break?
A longer break puts your account to sleep: after about a month without deliveries it needs reactivation, which the partner handles. If you are planning a pause, it is worth telling your advisor — coming back on line is easier that way.
Will I get equipment — a bag and a jacket?
You need a thermal bag for deliveries, and that is the only genuinely compulsory piece of kit. The platform does not hand them out — you buy or rent one from the settlement partner, and kit from another app will normally do at the start.
Do tips go to the courier?
A tip from the app is added to your payment for the job and stays with you. Do not plan your hourly rate around tips, though — people leave them less often on Wolt than on some other apps.
Can I combine Wolt with other apps?
Wolt sits comfortably alongside Uber Eats or Bolt Food — two apps at once let you fill the gaps between peaks. Glovo is a separate story: orders there come almost without a break, so it is ridden separately.
When will I see my first money?
You can take your first money out after just a few jobs: the partner settles them in the app and you choose when the transfer goes. BLIK is available too, so the funds are in your account within minutes. It works as a BLIK cheque: you generate the code in the app at any hour and take the cash out of an ATM, even on a Saturday — no waiting for a transfer to land.
Do I need to speak Polish?
Basic Polish or English is perfectly enough — the app runs on the map, and contact with the customer comes down to handing over the order. You can go through registration and support in Russian or Ukrainian.
I already deliver with Wolt under another partner — can I switch?
Moving to another settlement partner is handled on a monthly cycle: both partners file the request, and the account passes to the new one after the month ends. You do not have to stop riding — the current month is settled by your existing company. We describe the whole process on a separate page.
