Dzierzoniow for couriers: the Owl Mountains, the bypass, the Rynek parking zone

Dzierzoniow has 30,014 residents (as of 31.12.2025). Since 14 September 2026 Glovo here has worked without booking slots — you switch the app on whenever you have time. For now it is the only delivery app in town; when others arrive, one settlement partner will let you run several at once.
Short distances, a bike will do
Dzierzoniow covers about 20 km² at the foot of the Owl Mountains, around 261 m above sea level, so runs are usually short — a bike or e-bike is enough. City buses run across town (lines A and 2, among others), and an asphalt bike route of almost 1 km leads from the OSiR sports centre to the bypass.
Three regional roads and a new bypass
Roads DW382, DW383 and DW384 cross town. A bypass built in stages (almost 12 km, part of the Trasa Sudecka) carries through traffic: stage I opened in 2021 and the 5.9 km stage III towards Piława Górna, under construction since 2022, was due to be finished in 2026. Central paid parking: Mon–Fri 10:00–16:00, 3.60 zł for the first hour.
Błękitne, Różane, Jasne and Lawendowa
Blocks of flats stand on estates such as os. Błękitne, os. Różane and os. Jasne, and the town is preparing a link between ul. Lawendowa and ul. Korczaka (building permit issued in January 2026). The whole town covers about 20 km², and the DW384 takes you to neighbouring Bielawa — runs are usually short.
The Rynek, the town hall and BIG retail park
Most places to eat are around the Rynek, overlooked by the town hall with a viewing deck at 47 m. Nearby streets such as ul. Piłsudskiego and ul. Wrocławska are in the paid zone. In May 2026 the BIG Dzierżoniów retail park (about 17,000 m²) opened on ul. Batalionów Chłopskich.
Radio heritage and an industrial zone
Zakłady Radiowe Diora, founded here in 1945, was the first radio maker in post-war Poland. Since 1997 the town has hosted Invest-Park, a subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone, with firms working for the automotive and aviation industries. Since 1946 the town's name has honoured beekeeper Jan Dzierżon.
