Courier jobs with Wolt Bialystok

Bialystok is the capital of Podlasie, and the queue of couriers wanting to ride is shorter here than out west — a compact centre, two big universities and customers who are only just developing a taste for delivery.

Working with Wolt: what the courier job involves

Wolt is a delivery platform known for its Scandinavian standards — a polished app, support that actually works and customers who order from better restaurants more often. You log into the Wolt app whenever you want to ride, and jobs are offered to you with the fee clearly shown.

Bialystok up close: where Wolt orders are and at what hours

📍

Where the orders are

The core is around Rynek Kosciuszki and Lipowa street — that is where most of Wolt's restaurants sit. Bojary and Bialostoczek are right next door, the university campus comes alive in the evenings, and Dziesieciny or Wysoki Stoczek already count as estate runs.

When to ride

Afternoons and evenings between 17:00 and 21:00 carry most of the jobs; lunches are modest by comparison. The academic year shows up in the calendar straight away — September lifts demand more than any promotion could.

🚲

What to ride

The centre is small and fairly flat, so a bike comfortably covers a whole shift — you only notice the climbs heading towards Wysoki Stoczek. Winters in Podlasie can be harsher than anywhere else in the country, and from November some couriers switch to a scooter or a car.

💡 A tip from couriers Bialystok

In the evening, stick to the triangle of Rynek Kosciuszki, Lipowa and Bojary — most routes from there wrap up within a quarter of an hour. Take the trips out to the far estates only when the app clearly boosts the fee.

How Wolt differs from other apps

All the big apps run in Bialystok at once, Bolt Food included, but Wolt is the one picking up the better restaurants in the centre. The acceptance rate you see in the app is only a guide — the platform sets no official threshold, though it is safer to keep it above 60%, and closer to 80% is more comfortable still.

How to start working with Wolt — 3 steps

The only way into Wolt is through a settlement partner from the official list — the platform runs no recruitment of its own. The contract, the taxes and account activation are on the partner's side; you fill in the form and upload your documents online.

1
Fill in the form and proceed to registration

Full name, e-mail, phone — you'll land in the partner's system with fields prefilled.

2
Upload documents and sign the contract online

Everything step by step on the site — no office visit. Do it right away, no need to wait for a call.

3
Download the partner's app

Settlements and payouts live there. An advisor may call later — anything up to a week on; your registration keeps moving anyway.

Frequently asked — Wolt Bialystok

How much can you earn on Wolt in Bialystok?

Wolt publishes no price list and prices every job separately, so the only honest answer is that you see the amount in the app before you accept. Your hourly result depends above all on whether you ride the peaks and how close to the centre you stay.

Is there a shortage of Wolt couriers in Bialystok?

Competition is lighter here than in the big metropolises, but an account still activates only when recruitment in the city is open. The partner's advisor will check the current status before you start collecting your documents.

Do I have to take every delivery I am offered?

No — turning an offer down costs you nothing, and the job simply goes to another courier. You see your acceptance rate in the app, and that is the only guide you get, since the platform sets no official threshold.

What documents do I need to deliver with Wolt?

The platform itself asks for two things: you must be 18 or over and hold a valid identity document. The rest sits with the settlement partner — Polish citizens need a dowód osobisty (ID card), foreigners a passport plus proof of legal stay (karta pobytu — residence card, a visa or PESEL UKR). The partner checks the full set and helps with legalisation.

Do I need to register my own business?

A company of your own is not needed — through a settlement partner you ride completely legally without registering a działalność gospodarcza (sole proprietorship). The contract, the taxes and the ZUS (social insurance) contributions are on the partner's side, and our partner is on Wolt's official list of partners.

Do I have to accept every job?

Turning a job down is not punished — you can simply let it go. Wolt publishes no official threshold, but you can see your acceptance rate in the app, and from couriers' experience it is better to keep it above 60%, and closer to 80% is more comfortable: accounts have been blocked where the rate was very low and jobs were dropped often. Cancelling a job you have already accepted is a separate matter — there is a limit on those and you report them through support.

Is my city actually taking on couriers?

Wolt activates new accounts only where recruitment in that city is open — in smaller cities it is sometimes closed for a while. The partner's advisor checks the current status before you collect your documents, so you do not spend time waiting for nothing.

What happens if I take a longer break?

A longer break puts your account to sleep: after about a month without deliveries it needs reactivation, which the partner handles. If you are planning a pause, it is worth telling your advisor — coming back on line is easier that way.

How do jobs reach me, and how do I know what I will earn?

Before you confirm a job you see the full picture: where from, where to and for how much. That makes it easy to judge whether a route is worth it — and when traffic is heavy or it rains, fees rise automatically.

Will I get equipment — a bag and a jacket?

You need a thermal bag for deliveries, and that is the only genuinely compulsory piece of kit. The platform does not hand them out — you buy or rent one from the settlement partner, and kit from another app will normally do at the start.

When will I see my first money?

You can take your first money out after just a few jobs: the partner settles them in the app and you choose when the transfer goes. BLIK is available too, so the funds are in your account within minutes. It works as a BLIK cheque: you generate the code in the app at any hour and take the cash out of an ATM, even on a Saturday — no waiting for a transfer to land.

Do I need to speak Polish?

Basic Polish or English is perfectly enough — the app runs on the map, and contact with the customer comes down to handing over the order. You can go through registration and support in Russian or Ukrainian.

What is a settlement partner in Wolt?

It is the middleman between courier and platform: it takes on the contract, the taxes and the payouts. Wolt vets such companies and publishes their list — it is worth checking that the partner you are going to is genuinely on it. Ours is.

I already deliver with Wolt under another partner — can I switch?

Moving to another settlement partner is handled on a monthly cycle: both partners file the request, and the account passes to the new one after the month ends. You do not have to stop riding — the current month is settled by your existing company. We describe the whole process on a separate page.
