Courier jobs with Bolt Food Bialystok
Bialystok is the biggest city in eastern Poland and the newest addition to Bolt Food's map — the app arrived here at the start of 2026. The market is still settling in: there are fewer restaurants in the app than in the big metropolises, but noticeably fewer couriers chasing the same offer too.
Working with Bolt Food — how it works
Bolt Food is the delivery app from the Bolt family — the same one behind the rides. For a courier that means, above all, zero planning: you book no slots, declare no hours and collect no points to unlock the schedule. You switch the app on, an order offer arrives with the fee and the address already visible, and you have about a minute to decide. There is a flip side, and we say it plainly: there are fewer orders here than on Glovo or Wolt, which is why most couriers keep Bolt Food as their second app.
Bolt Food — Bialystok: where, when and what to ride
Where the orders are
Restaurants cluster in the centre, around Rynek Kosciuszki and Lipowa street, with Bojary right next door and its low, sometimes still-wooden buildings. Students drive the evenings — the city has a university, a technical university and a medical academy, and the last of those draws in plenty of foreign students. Dormitory areas like Dziesieciny, Sloneczny Stok or Bialostoczek give strings of short deliveries to the blocks of flats, while Dojlidy and the pond area are sprawling and empty.
When to ride
Evenings hold steady from October to June, and summer is noticeably quieter here than in cities that live off tourism. The biggest variable, though, is winter — it lasts longer and can be harsher in Podlasie than in the rest of the country, and every freezing evening means fewer couriers on the street while residents' appetite for ordering stays the same.
What to ride
The terrain here is not flat — names like Wysoki Stoczek and Sloneczny Stok did not come from nowhere — and an ordinary drivetrain makes itself felt on the longer runs out to the edges. From November to March something else matters more: tyres with real tread, warm gloves and strong lights, since it gets dark early and the side streets get cleared last.
In the evenings, stick to the area around Rynek Kosciuszki and Lipowa — the distances between restaurants are shortest there, and it is close to both Bojary and the university part of town. Treat addresses by the ponds in Dojlidy and on the southern edges as a separate trip — the ride out can be long, and the ride back always comes with no earnings at all.
How Bolt Food differs from other apps
The shorter restaurant list is the main downside of Bolt Food in Bialystok, and riding on it alone will show you long stretches of downtime. But the market's freshness cuts the other way too — the zone multiplier works in your favour anywhere couriers are scarce, and for now there are plenty of areas like that here.
How to start working with Bolt Food — 3 steps
There is no way into Bolt Food either directly or on your own działalność gospodarcza (sole proprietorship) — the platform does not sign B2B contracts with couriers. The only route is a settlement partner: they add you to their fleet, sign the contract, handle the taxes and pass on the earnings that Bolt sends over as one lump sum.
Full name, e-mail, phone — you'll land in the partner's system with fields prefilled.
Everything step by step on the site — no office visit. Do it right away, no need to wait for a call.
Settlements and payouts live there. An advisor may call later — anything up to a week on; your registration keeps moving anyway.

Questions about working with Bolt Food — Bialystok
How much does a Bolt Food courier earn in Bialystok?
The reference point here is around 8-12 zl gross per delivery, with the top end at peak times, in foul weather and in zones with a higher multiplier. You see pre-deduction values, and you work out a rough net figure by dividing by 1.23; with such a young market, the hourly result mostly comes down to how many orders show up at all.
Since when has Bolt Food been operating in Bialystok?
The platform launched this city at the start of 2026, making it its newest Polish market. There are still few restaurants in the app, but courier competition is only just building up, so a dozen riders rarely wait on the same offer.
Can you ride a bike in Bialystok in winter?
You can, just not on the same kit you use in summer — the long, freezing Podlasie winter calls for winter tyres, a face cover and genuinely strong lights. A good number of couriers switch to a car or a scooter for those few months and go back to two wheels in spring.
Do I have to accept every order on Bolt Food?
Declining is allowed, but within limits — Bolt expects 80% of orders accepted and says so officially. The trap for new couriers is unaccepted orders: if you do not react within about a minute, the system treats it as a refusal. Too low an acceptance rate sits on the official list of reasons for blocking an account, so it is worth watching from your very first week.
Do I have to book slots or declare hours on Bolt Food?
A schedule simply does not exist on Bolt Food. You do not reserve time windows, you do not build up statistics to unlock better hours, and nobody demands a minimum from you. One rule always applies: an order you have accepted, you deliver to the end — only then can you log out.
How does Bolt Food calculate the delivery fee?
Three elements build the fee — the pickup, the delivery and the kilometres from the restaurant to the customer — topped up by multipliers, bonuses and tips, which go to the courier in full. The dynamic situation also feeds in: the weather, the traffic and how many couriers are available nearby. We will not quote specific rates, because Bolt stopped publishing them in April 2024 — what is left on the official site is the method without the numbers.
Why does the amount in the app not match what lands in my account?
Earnings in the Bolt Food app are shown gross — to estimate what will actually be left, divide by 1.23. It is a common surprise for couriers coming over from Uber Eats, where the figures on screen are already net of deductions. The final settlement is prepared by the partner in any case, and that is where you see the full breakdown.
What are zones and multipliers on Bolt Food?
The zone multiplier is the most important fee mechanism in this app — it decides how much you get for an identical distance in two different parts of the city. Peak-hour and weather boosts layer on top and multiply with the zone multiplier. The effect is that a rainy evening in a less popular zone sometimes pays better than a dry weekend in the centre.
Are there cash orders on Bolt Food?
Payment on delivery is once more a standard part of the job. The settlement works by itself: you collect the amount from the customer, hand it over at restaurants on subsequent orders, and the difference is deducted from your weekly settlement. The debt limit is 200 zł, and that is the only number worth keeping in the back of your mind.
What documents do I need, and what can I ride?
The platform's requirements are short: you must be 18 or over and hold a photo ID (a dowód osobisty — Polish ID card, a passport or a karta pobytu — residence card), a Polish phone number and a bank account. During registration you take a selfie with the document so that both the photo and the date of birth are visible. Bolt allows a bicycle, a scooter and a car, and partners add a moped to that; a short hygiene and health-and-safety training course is compulsory too.
I already ride for Bolt Food under another partner — can I switch?
Changing partner on Bolt Food is quick: the new partner adds you to their fleet, and you confirm the move by contacting support in the Bolt app. The whole procedure normally takes one day, and your account and delivery history stay yours — you are not starting from zero.
Does Bolt Food pay for waiting at the restaurant?
Waiting beyond a quarter of an hour is paid — one of those details couriers only come to appreciate on a Friday evening, when the kitchens jam up. The compensation is added to the settlement for that order automatically; there is nothing to report.
How much can you realistically earn on Bolt Food?
The platform's official slogan talks about "up to 40 zł an hour", but that is a marketing message with no conditions spelled out. It is more realistic to count per delivery: independent courier calculations point to an order of magnitude of roughly 8 to 15 zł per delivery, depending on zone, distance and time of day. All of those amounts are gross, and the hourly figure depends mostly on how many orders you manage to do in that time — and there are fewer of them here than at the competition.
Does Bolt Food really have fewer orders than Glovo and Wolt?
Let us say it plainly, because it is the most common complaint about this app: the order pool on Bolt Food is smaller and the restaurant portfolio narrower than at the two biggest players. That is the main downside and the reason couriers rarely treat it as their only source of work. In return you get zero planning, a fee visible before you accept, and an app you can switch on for two hours with no obligations at all.
