Glovo with no slots in the home of Koscian cloth
In the 15th century Koscian cloth received the first trademark in Polish history. Today the town has 22,956 residents (as of 31.12.2025), and food is delivered by Glovo — with no slots since 5 October 2026. One settlement partner lets you add other apps too, for example if you also ride in Poznan.
Flat, compact, best by bike
The town lies 75–85 m above sea level, so there are practically no climbs, and an area of 9 km² means short trips. Your own bike or e-bike is enough. South of town, along the Koscian Canal, field roads can be unpaved — no place for a road bike.
The S5 skirts the town to the west
Through traffic uses the S5 expressway with the Kościan Północ junction (DW308 towards Grodzisk Wlkp.) and Kościan Południe. The Poznan–Wroclaw railway runs through town. In July 2026 a new 27.5 m bridge opened in Kiełczewo, in Koscian rural municipality; the old one had been shut since June 2025.
Estates on 901 hectares
Koscian covers 901 ha with about 2,500 residents per km², so addresses are packed close together. Many orders go to blocks of flats on os. Piastowskie, os. Jagiellońskie and os. Konstytucji 3 Maja. Czempiń and Śmigiel are about 11 km away — whether the app sends you further depends on the delivery zone.
The Rynek, the town hall and ul. Wrocławska
Pickups centre on the Rynek with the town hall (Rynek 1, home to the Regional Museum) and the pedestrian section of ul. Wrocławska, both renewed in a town-centre revitalisation. On the pedestrian street walk your bike or ride very slowly. The town office is at Al. Kościuszki 22.
Water tower and the November half marathon
Koscian has no university, but since its 2012–13 revitalisation the water tower has housed climbing walls (about 345 m², over 18 m high) and an astronomical observatory. Every November the town hosts the Dr Henryk Florkowski International Koscian Half Marathon.
