Courier jobs with Glovo in Krakow

Krakow runs on two demand engines: tourists ordering to apartments all year round and students of UJ and AGH — which makes seasonal dips shallower here than anywhere else.

Working with Glovo: what the courier job involves

The yellow Glovo backpack is a familiar sight in every larger Polish city, and for good reason. The platform covers shops and pharmacies as well as restaurants, so there is something to take at almost any hour. Earnings depend on how many deliveries you make and how far you ride, and the schedule is yours to set.

Orders keep coming with barely a pause — no need to juggle a second app to fill your shift
Multi-drop: when routes line up, you carry several orders at once
The most orders on the market — shops and pharmacies included, not just food

Krakow up close: where Glovo orders are and at what hours

📍

Where the orders are

The Old Town and Kazimierz are the heart of it: short hops and restaurants packed close together, but nearly impossible by car. Krowodrza and Bronowice live on the student rhythm, while Podgórze and Zabłocie grow every year — new estates and offices.

When to ride

Evenings 18:00–22:00 beat lunches — tourists and students order late. The tourist season (May–September) and December fairs boost weekends.

🚲

What to ride

The strict centre is a restricted-traffic zone — the bike wins outright. A scooter earns its keep on runs to Bronowice or Ruczaj.

💡 Worth knowing before your first shift in Krakow

When the season is on, park yourself closer to Kazimierz than to the Rynek itself — getting out of the main square can take longer than the delivery. Learn the Planty ring by heart, too: pedestrian traffic by Wawel eats minutes before you notice.

Glovo compared with other apps

Glovo has Krakow's widest zone, shop orders and a stream that barely slows in season — which is why local Glovo couriers usually ride with a single app. Combining apps is a Wolt and Uber Eats story, where gaps between peaks are common.

How to become a Glovo courier: from the form to your first delivery

You join Glovo through a settlement partner — they sign the contract, handle taxes and activate your courier account. You fill in one form; an advisor takes care of the rest.

1
Fill in the form and proceed to registration

Full name, e-mail, phone — you'll land in the partner's system with fields prefilled.

2
Upload documents and sign the contract online

Everything step by step on the site — no office visit. Do it right away, no need to wait for a call.

3
Download the partner's app

Settlements and payouts live there. An advisor may call later — anything up to a week on; your registration keeps moving anyway.

Frequently asked — Glovo Krakow

How much does a Glovo courier make in Krakow?

Nationwide, couriers usually take home 25–55 zł net per hour, depending on the city, the app, the time of day and the weather. In Krakow, evening peaks and weekends put most couriers somewhere in the 31–49 zł net per hour range, and both the tourist season and bad weather push that higher. The fee for every single order is shown in the app before you accept it.

Can I deliver for Glovo around the Old Town by car?

Bad idea — restricted-traffic zones and nowhere to park. A bike is fastest in Krakow's strict centre; save the car for outer districts.

Are there orders in Krakow in winter too?

Yes — students stay, and city tourism in Krakow runs all year. December with its fairs is often one of the better months.

What documents do I need to become a Glovo courier?

All you need to sign up is proof of identity — an ID card for Polish citizens, or a passport together with confirmation of legal stay (residence card, visa or PESEL UKR) for foreigners. Collecting the paperwork and handling legalisation is the settlement partner's job.

Do I need to register my own business?

Having your own company is an option, not a condition. Going through a settlement partner is simpler: the formalities, settlements and contributions sit on their side, and you work legally from day one.

Does working with Glovo help with a residence card?

The umowa zlecenie covers all of your earnings, so your income appears in full in the documents — unlike models where most of the payout runs through vehicle rental. A residence-card application turns on documented income and contributions; whether you clear the threshold is for the voivodeship office to confirm.

Do I have to wait for the advisor's call to get going?

No waiting required: after the form you land in the partner's system, upload documents and sign the contract online, step by step. The advisor may call later — anything up to a week later — while your registration keeps moving the whole time.

How do Glovo slots work?

Slots are time windows you book in the courier app — usually one hour or half an hour, depending on the city and the time of day. The better your statistics, the earlier the best hours open up to you, so it pays not to cancel bookings without a reason.

Do cash orders happen too?

Some customers pay on delivery — a normal part of the job. The app tracks how much cash you can carry and settles it against your payouts; everything is counted, nothing to track by hand.

Do tips go to the courier?

Whatever the customer adds as a tip is yours: the amount is added to your settlement alongside the delivery fee. With careful, punctual work it is a noticeable top-up, especially in the evenings and at weekends.

Do I need a thermal bag?

Food deliveries require a thermal bag — without one the restaurant will not hand over the order. A bag from another app usually works fine, and if you are starting from scratch, the partner's advisor will point you to the fastest way to get one in your city.

How much tax will I pay if I'm under 26?

Under 26 no income-tax advance is withheld — the young person's relief applies regardless of student status (85,528 zł yearly limit). ZUS contributions are waived only for pupils and students under 26; without student status the partner deducts roughly 19%. After your 26th birthday the tax advance is added on top, and you get a PIT-11 at the end of the year.

I already ride with Glovo under another partner — can I switch?

Moving to another partner in Glovo is free and usually takes 2–3 days, and you do not have to notify your current partner. The paperwork is handled by the partner you are joining; we describe the details on our partner-change page.
