On the Bóbr, with free buses

The DK94, a new bridge and the A4
The DK94 (Zgorzelec–Legnica) crosses town, and the DW297 leads to the A4, which passes north of Boleslawiec. The DK94 crossing over the Bóbr is being rebuilt: a new bridge opened in late August 2026, the old one will be demolished, and the work is due to finish in the second half of 2027.
From Śródmieście to Zabobrze
The 22.81 km² town has 15 neighbourhoods, among them Śródmieście, Piastów, Kwiatowe, Przylesie, Leśne and Południe. Zabobrze lies on the far bank of the Bóbr, served by MZK lines 2 and 10. The river valley is also spanned by a 490 m railway viaduct dating from 1846.
The Rynek, ul. Asnyka and Plac Piastowski
The heart of town is the Rynek, with 17th–20th-century townhouses and the town hall. Ul. Asnyka leads to the Old Town past the BC Center mall (opened in 2012, about 9,300 m²), and MZK line 1 runs to the Plac Piastowski Carrefour stop.
The Pottery Festival in August
Boleslawiec is known for hand-painted blue-and-white pottery and won the Council of Europe's Europe Prize in 2023. Every August it holds the Pottery Festival — in 2026 on 19–23 August, with a market on the Rynek daily 10:00–21:00, concerts on ul. Asnyka and factory shops open on ul. Kościuszki.
