Where the orders are
The old town and Bydgoskie Przedmiescie form the core of the job flow, with short routes between restaurants and townhouses. Rubinkowo and Na Skarpie are the big estates on the east side, while Podgorz sits across the Vistula and needs a bridge crossing.
When to ride
Evenings from 17:30 to 21:30 are the surest bet, and the academic year deepens them noticeably. The tourist season and the fairs in the old town add weekends where the jobs barely let up.
What to ride
The flat centre and the network of cycle paths favour a bike, except that access into the old town is restricted, and the cobbles take their toll. The bridges over the Vistula are a bottleneck — if you want to take jobs out to Podgorz, consider a scooter.
Bydgoskie Przedmiescie is a good place to wait — close to the old town, with fewer couriers than the Market Square itself. Take jobs across the river deliberately, since the ride back over the bridge rarely comes with another job along the way.

Starting with Wolt does not require a company of your own, but it does require a settlement partner — without one the platform will not open an account. You register with a partner from the official list, sign the contract online and, once activated, pick your first jobs.
Full name, e-mail and phone — they carry over into the partner's system, so you type them once.
Upload a scan of your ID on the site and sign the contract electronically. No need to wait for a call first.

Can you actually ride through Torun's old town?
You can, but vehicle access is heavily restricted there. Most often you ride up to the edge of the zone and cover the last stretch on foot — build that time into the delivery.
When are there the most jobs in Torun?
On weekday evenings during the academic year, and on tourist-heavy weekends. Summer quiets down the student side of town, but the old town's footfall makes up for it.
Does Wolt give you a bag to start with?
No, it neither gives one out nor sells one — you get the kit from the settlement partner, either buying or renting it. A thermal bag is compulsory, but it does not have to be branded; one left over from a previous app usually does the job.
What documents do I need to deliver with Wolt?
Polish citizens need a dowód osobisty (ID card). Foreigners add a passport and a document confirming legal stay — a karta pobytu (residence card), a visa or PESEL UKR. You go through the paperwork with the partner's advisor, who will tell you exactly what applies in your case.
Do I need to register my own business?
Registering a business is not necessary — you sign the contract with a settlement partner, and they handle the taxes and ZUS contributions. Our partner appears on Wolt's official list of partners, so your account is activated by the standard route.
Do I have to accept every job?
You can decline offers, and nobody penalises you for declining as such. Wolt gives no official threshold, but your acceptance rate is visible in the app — couriers usually advise keeping it above 60%, and ideally somewhere near 80%. Dropping a job you have already accepted is different: the number of those is limited and they go through support.
What happens if I take a longer break?
A longer break puts your account to sleep: after about a month without deliveries it needs reactivation, which the partner handles. If you are planning a pause, it is worth telling your advisor — coming back on line is easier that way.
Do I have to book slots with Wolt?
Wolt does not use a slot system — you do not reserve hours ahead of time. You switch the app on when you have time and take the jobs offered; for many couriers the absence of a schedule is the main reason they choose this app.
How do jobs reach me, and how do I know what I will earn?
Before you confirm a job you see the full picture: where from, where to and for how much. That makes it easy to judge whether a route is worth it — and when traffic is heavy or it rains, fees rise automatically.
Will I get equipment — a bag and a jacket?
A thermal bag is compulsory, but Wolt neither issues nor sells kit — you get it from the settlement partner, buying or renting. A bag you have already used on another app is usually enough to start. Branded clothing, if there is any at all, comes from the partner rather than the platform.
Do tips go to the courier?
A tip from the app is added to your payment for the job and stays with you. Do not plan your hourly rate around tips, though — people leave them less often on Wolt than on some other apps.
Do I need to speak Polish?
Basic Polish or English is enough — the app is simple and map-based. Registration with the partner also works in Russian and Ukrainian, and support replies in your language.
What is a settlement partner in Wolt?
A settlement partner signs the contract with the courier and takes over dealings with the authorities — that way you deliver legally without registering a company. Wolt keeps an official list of trusted partners, and our partner is on it.
I already deliver with Wolt under another partner — can I switch?
A change is possible, but it works on a monthly cycle: the request goes to Wolt from both companies — the current one and the new one — and the switch happens once the month has closed. That is why it is better to start the procedure a few days before the end of the month than in the middle of it.
