Glovo and Uber Eats in a royal town on the Warta
Sieradz, one of Poland's oldest towns, is home to 37,764 people (as of 31.12.2025) and has two delivery apps: Glovo and Uber Eats. Since 28 September 2026 Glovo no longer requires booking slots, and one settlement partner lets you keep both apps on at once.
Short hops from the Rynek, long runs to the edges
The old town sits on the left bank of the Warta where the Żeglina flows in, so runs around the Rynek are short and easy by bike. The town limits, though, cover about 51 km², and for the outer districts an e-bike or scooter works better.
The S8, its link road and three national roads
The S8 expressway between Łódź and Wrocław runs past Sieradz, and a link road leads from DK12 to the Sieradz Południe junction. National roads 12, 14 and 83 (the last towards Konin) also meet near the town, so expect lorries and through traffic on the exit roads.
From ul. Sienkiewicza to Woźniki and Monice
The centre means the Rynek and streets such as Sienkiewicza, Mickiewicza and Aleja Pokoju; blocks of flats stand on Łokietka and Andersa, among others. In 1979 the town absorbed Męka-Jamy, Woźniki-Kolonia, Zapusta Mała and parts of Męka, Monice, Jeziory, Kłocko and Smardzew — the furthest addresses.
Galeria Sieradzka and Dekada
Most pick-ups are at Galeria Sieradzka, al. Grunwaldzka 1 (50-plus shops and outlets on two floors, revamped in 2024), and at Dekada Sieradz on the corner of ul. Wojska Polskiego and ul. Sarańska, opened in 2011. In the centre, the long Rynek with its fountain is your landmark.
Antoine's town and the Open Hair Festival
The Rynek has a monument to Antoni Cierplikowski, the famous hairdresser 'Antoine', born in Sieradz. The Open Hair Festival, an annual town celebration with concerts and shows on the main square, is built around him. Sieradz has had town rights since 1247 and is home to the Sieradz Ethnographic Park.
