Three apps on both banks of the Warta
Stary Konin sits on the Warta's left bank, Nowy Konin on the right. Across the city of 65,233 people (as of 31.12.2025), you can deliver for Glovo, Uber Eats and Pyszne. Glovo has run without slots since 28 September 2026, and one settlement partner lets you combine several apps.
Warta valley and cycle paths
Konin lies in the Warta valley, at about 88 m above sea level. A bike or e-bike can be rented or bought. A 2018 city report counts almost 38 km of cycle paths.
Trasa Warszawska bridge and the 9–17 zone
Since 11 December 2025 the 70-year-old Trasa Warszawska bridge has been under reconstruction: traffic in both directions uses the western span, and works are due to finish in April 2027. Trucks use Trasa Bursztynowa (DK25). The paid parking zone runs Mon–Fri 9:00–17:00, with the first hour at 3 zł.

Konin covers about 82 km² and has no administrative districts — addresses go by estates such as Zatorze, V, Kurów, Beniów, Janów or the Legionów estates. Further out lie Gosławice, Morzysław and Pątnów with its power plant, so runs to the edges of town can be long.
Galeria nad Jeziorem, Ferio and Plac Wolności
Galeria nad Jeziorem at ul. Paderewskiego 8 has about 21,000 m² of lettable space and a Helios cinema. Ferio at ul. Ogrodowa 31a is in the Stare Miasto municipality, about a 5-minute drive from the centre, with over 100 units. In Stary Konin, pick-ups cluster around Plac Wolności and the town hall.
A city after lignite
Konin is the main town of the Konin lignite basin, and the Konin mine dates back to the Second World War. Mining at the last open pit, Tomisławice, was due to end by mid-2026, and the Konin power plant now runs two biomass units with 110 MW in total.
