Knurow for couriers: the DW921, Szczygłowice, the retail park on ul. 1 Maja
Glovo and Uber Eats in a mining town between Gliwice and Rybnik
Gliwice is about 8 km away and Rybnik about 16 km, while the town itself has 34,919 residents (as of 31.12.2025). Couriers here deliver for Glovo and Uber Eats; since 5 October 2026 Glovo has no slots. A single settlement partner lets you run both apps at once.
A compact town on the Bierawka
Knurow sits on the Silesian Upland by the Bierawka river and covers about 34 km², so trips inside town are usually short and a bike or e-bike does the job day to day. For longer runs, say towards Gliwice, a scooter or car is more comfortable.
The DW921, DK78 and motorways next door

Addresses are split between the centre with Stary Knurów and two districts joined to the town in 1951: Krywałd and Szczygłowice. Szczygłowice is home to Dom Kultury Knurów at ul. Górnicza 1. The town has a rail line to Rybnik, and PLK plans a new Knurów Kopalnia stop by the end of 2027.
The retail park at ul. 1 Maja 74
The biggest retail spot is the DL park at ul. 1 Maja 74, on the edge of town by the main exit road. It has about 9,500 m² of leasable space and 300 parking spaces, and food outlets have operated there since 2021, so parking for a pickup is easy.
A coking coal town
A mine was founded here in 1903, and a second one opened in Szczygłowice in 1961. Today both form KWK Knurów-Szczygłowice, which has belonged to JSW since 2014 and produces coking coal. After a shift, Zacisze Leśne offers the Zatopy pond, more than 26 ha in size.
