Bolt Food Gorzow Wielkopolski — courier jobs

Gorzow Wielkopolski is Bolt Food's smallest market in Poland — the platform launched here in May 2024 as its eighth city, with a few dozen restaurants and orders running roughly from 11:00 to 22:00. That is the shortest working day on this whole list, and the first thing worth working out before you start.

Working with Bolt Food: what the courier job involves

Bolt Food is the simplest of all the big delivery apps in Poland: no calendar, no bookings, no scoring to unlock the best hours. There is one hard number, though — 80% of orders accepted, which the platform states officially and monitors. You are paid for the pickup, for the delivery and for the kilometres from the restaurant to the customer, and zones with multipliers can turn the very same route into very different amounts.

Zero planning — no slots, no minimum hours, no booking ahead
You see the fee and the address before you tap "accept"
The city is split into zones with multipliers — the same route can pay very differently

📍

Where the orders are

Everything revolves around the centre and the Old Market, where most of the app's restaurants sit and the ride to a customer rarely tops a few kilometres. Zawarcie lies across the Warta — the route there always crosses a bridge, so it is worth a glance before you tap accept. Estates like Gorczyn or Piaski give quiet, repeatable runs from the centre, except that the ride back from there is usually empty.

When to ride

Since the app does not wake up until around eleven, mornings are off the table entirely — you plan a session from lunchtime, and things get busiest on Friday and Saturday evenings, right before the kitchens start closing. Winter can outdo summer here — in the cold, with darkness falling early, people order more readily while fewer couriers want to be out riding.

🚲

What to ride

The city is flat and small, so a bike or a scooter is entirely enough, and fuel and parking costs stop being an argument for a car. Watch for the tram tracks in the centre — wet rails can bring a bike down on a bend, so cross them as close to perpendicular as you can.

💡 A tip from couriers Gorzow Wielkopolski

Stand within a few hundred metres of the Old Market — with this many restaurants on the app, it is the one spot that puts several of them within a minute's reach. Before you take an address on Zawarcie, check which way the bridge will route you — the empty ride back takes exactly as long as the trip out with the food.

Bolt Food or other apps?

At this scale Bolt Food will not fill a whole shift on its own, and there is no point pretending otherwise — it is an app to keep running alongside Glovo or Wolt. In return it costs nothing: no booking, no minimum hours, switched on exactly when you see demand picking up in the city.

How to become a Bolt Food courier: from the form to your first delivery

To start riding with Bolt Food you need a settlement partner — they are the ones who put you forward to the platform and take over all the paperwork. The form, the documents and the contract all go online, and accounts are activated in batches, usually within a few days of your document set being complete.

Full name, e-mail and phone — they carry over into the partner's system, so you type them once.

Bolt Food Gorzow Wielkopolski: what couriers ask about

How much does a Bolt Food courier earn in Gorzow Wielkopolski?

A single delivery usually comes to around 8-12 zl gross — the zone, the distance and the time of day decide the difference. What you see on screen is the pre-deduction amount, so divide by 1.23 for a rough net figure; with so few restaurants on the app, the result mostly hinges on whether you catch the peak hours.

What hours does Bolt Food operate in Gorzow?

Orders come in roughly from 11:00 to 22:00, a narrower window than in the big cities. A morning shift simply does not exist, and past ten in the evening you can safely switch the app off.

Is it hard to keep an 80% acceptance rate in such a small city?

If anything it is easier than in a metropolis, since there are no absurdly long routes here — the city ends after a few kilometres, and you rarely get an offer you genuinely want to decline. Do keep an eye on your phone, though: an order you do not react to within about a minute knocks your statistics down exactly the same as a deliberate refusal.

Do I have to accept every order on Bolt Food?

Bolt gives a specific number here and does not hide it: the required acceptance rate is 80%, meaning 8 orders out of 10. One detail matters a great deal — orders you simply miss count exactly the same as ones you decline: if an offer expires because you were not quick enough, your statistics drop all the same. You have about a minute to decide. A low acceptance rate is named outright among the reasons for having an account blocked, so this is not optional advice.

Do I have to book slots or declare hours on Bolt Food?

Instead of a calendar you have an ordinary online button. For many couriers that is the main reason to keep this app alongside others — you can switch it on for two hours on a Wednesday and not touch it for a week, with no consequences whatsoever. The one exception is an order already accepted, which has to be completed.

How does Bolt Food calculate the delivery fee?

Bolt pays separately for collecting the order, separately for delivering it and separately for the distance, and the kilometres are counted only from the restaurant to the customer — the ride to the venue is not included. Zone and dynamic multipliers go on top, and in bad weather or heavy demand the fees rise automatically. You will not find a price table anywhere: since spring 2024 the platform has published the rules only, not the amounts.

Why does the amount in the app not match what lands in my account?

Earnings in the Bolt Food app are shown gross — to estimate what will actually be left, divide by 1.23. It is a common surprise for couriers coming over from Uber Eats, where the figures on screen are already net of deductions. The final settlement is prepared by the partner in any case, and that is where you see the full breakdown.

Can I ride for Bolt Food on my own działalność gospodarcza?

There is exactly one path here — through a settlement partner. Bolt will not sign a contract with you directly or on an invoice basis, even if you have been running a business for years. The partner adds you to the fleet, handles the taxes and pays out the earnings that Bolt transfers to them as one lump sum for the whole week.

What are zones and multipliers on Bolt Food?

Bolt Food prices deliveries through the prism of zones: the same route in a district short of couriers pays noticeably more than in the centre, where riders are plentiful. Between the extreme zones the spread on one delivery can reach nearly double. That is why experienced couriers learn the zone boundaries in their city faster than the street names.

What documents do I need, and what can I ride?

Four things are needed to start: being of age, a photo ID, a Polish phone number and a bank account. Verification tends to go more smoothly for foreigners with a passport than with the older type of Polish dowód osobisty, because the selfie has to show both the photo and the date of birth. You choose your vehicle from a bicycle, a scooter and a car, and through a partner a moped is available too.

I already ride for Bolt Food under another partner — can I switch?

Changing partner on Bolt Food is quick: the new partner adds you to their fleet, and you confirm the move by contacting support in the Bolt app. The whole procedure normally takes one day, and your account and delivery history stay yours — you are not starting from zero.

Can I combine Bolt Food with other apps?

Nobody will stop you riding in parallel with Glovo, Wolt or Uber Eats — Bolt Food most often plays exactly that role of app number two. It comes down to simple arithmetic: there are fewer orders here, so Bolt Food on its own rarely fills a schedule. Just remember that the app goes dormant once it drops into the background, and offers can pass you by.

How much can you realistically earn on Bolt Food?

Bolt advertises itself with a line about "up to 40 zł an hour", and that is as far as the official declarations go — the platform gives no detail and has not published a price list since 2024. A more useful reference point is the fee per delivery: it usually falls in the region of 8–15 zł gross, depending on zone and hour. The hourly result then follows from order density, and that is lower here than on the biggest apps.

Does Bolt Food really have fewer orders than Glovo and Wolt?

Let us say it plainly, because it is the most common complaint about this app: the order pool on Bolt Food is smaller and the restaurant portfolio narrower than at the two biggest players. That is the main downside and the reason couriers rarely treat it as their only source of work. In return you get zero planning, a fee visible before you accept, and an app you can switch on for two hours with no obligations at all.
